Bhutan, country of the Himalayas, located between India and Tibet, extends from the plains of Bengal to the Himalayan summits. This kingdom of 750,000 inhabitants, as large as Switzerland, fiercely preserves its independence and has never been colonized.
In 1961, he began his march towards development and joined the UN in 1971. Socially progressive (health and education represent the largest parts of the budget), he is known for his alternative development policy, Happiness National Brut, which is based on the balance between 4 pillars: good governance, preservation of the environment, sustainable development and preservation of culture.
Bhutan is an independent country that combines modernity and spirituality within a preserved environment and rich biodiversity.
Its main resources are hydroelectricity, tourism and the export of agricultural products.
