ALTRUISTIC EDUCATION

Access to knowledge for all is the conviction that drives these initiatives. Lack of financial resources should not be a barrier between a child and their education or an obstacle between young person and their dreams.

The Loden Foundation was one of the first organizations to support school children in Bhutan by covering the costs of uniforms, stationery, sports equipment, etc. Although school education in Bhutan is publicly funded, these additional costs can be a heavy burden on rural families whose livelihoods are based on subsistence agriculture.

Since 2012, the Loden Foundation has supported students engaged in higher education. It was also a pioneer in the establishment and operation of early learning centers for young children in rural areas.

Each month, the “Bhutan dialogues” create unique opportunities for personalities and opinion leaders to share their experiences.
